Friday May 6th, 2011 - Jaras reports that last night, 15 security agents raided the house of Behzad Nabavi, a high ranking member of the Islamic Revolution Mojahedin Organization, [reformist party not to be confused with the MKO], searching his house and confiscating a number of books, his pamphlets, computer case, manuscripts and all personal documents.
Behzad Nabavi who is close to 70 years old and suffers from a number of physical ailments resulting from the years of torture he endured while in prison before and after the revolution, was once again summoned to Evin's ward 2A [under the supervision of the Ministry of Intelligence].
It is worth mentioning that Nabavi, a well known Green activist was first arrested on the June 13th, 2009 one day after the rigged presidential elections and sent to Evin prison. Nabavi was initially sentenced by the lower courts to 6 years prison. His sentence was later reduced to 5 years by the Appeals Court.
Nabavi is also one of the 7 plaintiffs in a law suit that was filed against several commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for their intervention in Iran's rigged presidential election and its aftermath. He was given medical furlough from Evin around the Persian New Year.
حمله شبانه نیروهای امنیتی به خانه بهزاد نبوی
به گزارش رسیده به جرس، شب گذشته پانزده نفر از نیروهای امنیتی با حمله به خانه بهزاد نبوی عضو ارشد سازمان مجاهدین انقلاب اسلامی، به جستجو پرداخته و کتابها، جزوات، کیس کامپیوتر، دست نوشته ها و کلیه مدارک وی را با خود بردند.
بهزاد نبوی با حدود هفتاد سال سن و ناراحتی های جسمانی ناشی از سالها شکنجه در زندان های قبل و بعد از انقلاب، به اوین فرا خوانده و به بند دو الف منتقل شد.
گفتنی است این فعال جنبش سبز، در تاریخ ۲۳ خرداد ماه ۱۳۸۸ و یک روز بعد از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری بازداشت و روانه زندان اوین شد. وی در دادگاه بدوی به ۶ سال زندان محکوم شد و در دادگاه تجدیدنظر حکم بهزاد نبوی به ۵ سال زندان مبدل گردید.
وی که از شاکیانِ پروندۀ یکی از سردارانِ مداخله گرِ سپاه در انتخابات است، مدتی پیش از زندان اوین برای مرخصی استعلاجی آمده بود
