Friday May 5th, 2011 - Kaleme: Seyed Ziya Nabavi, incarcerated student deprived of a right to an education and sentenced to 10 years exile in Karun prison, was transferred along with 25 other political prisoners from Karun prison in Ahvaz to another prison by the name of "Ordugah Klinik" [Camp Clinic].
Nabavi who published a heart breaking, open letter a few days ago [addressed to Mohammad Javad Ardeshir Larijani the Head of The Human Rights Council for Iran's Judiciary], describing the inhumane conditions at Karun prison, contacted his family to inform them that he has been transferred to another prison with better conditions.
There are only 26 prisoners at the new prison to which Nabavi has been transferred. Each room holds 6 prisoners and the prisoners have access to beds and fresh air. The prisoners also have access to two phone calls per week and have been promised face to face visitation with their families.
Though this transfer decreases the level of concern as it relates to the families of these 26 political prisoners, it goes without saying that the unbearable conditions at Karun prison, as described in Nabavi's letter were not just limited to the political prisoners. It is therefore incumbent upon the judicial authorities in Iran to put an end to the inhumane conditions endured by all prisoners at Karun prison as soon as possible.

انتقال سید ضیا نبوی از زندان کارون اهواز

چکیده :این انتقال اگرچه موجب کاهش بخشی از نگرانی های خانواده این زندانیان را فراهم کرده اما آنچه مهم است و در گزارش سید ضیا نبوی از زندان کارون هم برجسته بود، موضوع تنها معطوف به این دسته از زندانیان سیاسی نمیشود و ایجاب می کند که مسوولان قضایی نسبت به بهبود این شرایط غیر انسانی در این زندان و سایر زندان ها هرچه سریع تر خاتمه...
سید ضیا نبوی، دانشجوی محروم از تحصیل که به ۱۰ سال حبس در تبعید محکوم است به همراه ۲۵ زندانی سیاسی دیگر از زندان کارون اهواز به زندانی دیگر موسوم به اردوگاه کلینیک منتقل شد.
به گزارش کلمه، وی که چند روز پیش گزارش تکان دهنده ای درباره زندان کارون اهواز منتشر کرده بود در تماسی با خانواده اش از انتقال به زندانی دیگر که شرایط بهتری دارد خبر داد.
در این زندان تنها ۲۶ نفر هستند که در اتاق هایی ۶ نفره و دارای تخت و هواخوری منتقل شده اند. این زندانیان امکان دو بار تماس تلفنی در هفته را داشته و وعده ملاقات حضوری با خانواده هایشان به ایشان داده شده است.
