Fatemeh Karroubi has been under house arrest along with her husband Mehdi Karroubi as of February 10th, 2011. It is worth mentioning that the house arrest of Karroubi, Mousavi and their spouses was enforced by security forces on the morning of February 10th, after Karroubi and Mousavi both called upon the nation of Iran to participate in peaceful demonstrations in support of the freedom fighting people of Egypt and Tunisia.
The people's enthusiastic presence in the February 14th (25 Bahman) demonstrations angered the ruling government, and the raid of the residences of the two leaders of the Green opposition movement by security forces a few days prior to the demonstrations, eventually turned into detention and house arrest.
خروج فاطمه کروبی از حبس، برای درمان
سحام نیوز: فاطمه کروبی بعد از 71 روز تحمل بازداشت و حبس خانگی جهت پیگیری امور درمانی از حبس خارج شد. به گزارش خبرنگار سحام نیوز فاطمه کروبی که مدت هاست با ممانعت نیروهای امنیتی برای پیگیری درمان خود روبرو بوده است، سرانجام پس از 71 روز توانست برای انجام معاینات پزشکی از حبس خانگی خارج گردد. وی به همراه همسرش مهدی کروبی از تاریخ 21 بهمن 1389 در جبس خانگی قرار گرفته اند.
لازم به ذکر است بدنبال درخواست مشترک آقایان کروبی و موسوی برای انجام راهپیمائی در جهت حمایت از قیام های مردمی آزادیخواهان مصر و تونس، نیروهای امنیتی از صبح 21 بهمن زهرا رهنورد و فاطمه کروبی را در کنار همسرانشان در حبس خانگی قرار دادند .
حضور پرشور مردم در تجمع 25 بهمن موجب خشم حاکمیت و یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل دو رهبر معترض شد و حصری که از روزها قبل از آن آغاز گردیده بود به بازداشت و زندان خانگی تبدیل شده است
