Tuesday October 4th, 2010 - Summary: Being exiled to a far away prison not only punishes the prisoners, but also punishes their families, forced to suffer and tolerate the long distances between them and their loved ones. Aging mothers, women with children and even families under extreme financial strain are forced to travel long distances only to visit their loved ones for a few minutes at a time; a predicament that is not only difficult but also intolerable. Take for example the suffering father of Zia Nabavi who wrote a letter to the head of the judiciary stating "I come from a family of simple peasants, rural workers with little to no financial resources. I have worked hard my entire life to earn a honorable, yet simple living for my family. We don't even have the financial resources to visit our child in a far away location such as Ahvaz."
In a short note, Zahra Rahnavard, writer and university professor expressed grave concern against unjust sentences that send political prisoners to exile. Zia Nabavi, a student deprived from completing his university degree, was for example sent to exile to Karoon prison in Ahvaz. According to Kaleme, the content of this note is as follows:
The families of political prisoners have demanded nothing more than the unconditional release of their loved ones. Birthdays, mournings, national and religious celebrations such as "Mehregan" and the start of the new academic year are all opportunities for prayer and worshiping God.
All the families of political prisoners have ever looked forward to and asked for is that their loved ones be released from jail unconditionally. Unfortunately however, they have only found themselves facing new challenges imposed by the ruling powers, the latest of which is punishment through exile to far away prisons. As a result of this newly imposed punishment, proud and resilient prisoners such as Shiva Nazar Ahari, Zia Nabavi, Ahmad Karimi, Hamed Rouhinejad, Majid Dori and others have either been sent to exile to far away prisons or have received sentenced and are painfully awaiting this bitter predicament together with their families.
Zia Nabavi, a student activist has said on many occasions that he has no affiliation what so ever with any group outside of Iran. He has insisted that his only crime has been to fight for his right to an education; a right that was stripped from him and his friends by the 9th government. Zia's cell mates have written and spoken extensively of his moral values, and in particular his resilience and mind boggling patience. They say that Zia never holds any grudges, not even against the judge who sentenced him to 15 years exile in a far away prison. This fact it clearly evident in the recent letter Zia wrote to the judge in charge of his case file. Someone like Zia does not belong in jail; he does not deserve to sent to exile in a far away prison.

Not only is our son no longer amongst us, but we don't even have the financial resources to visit him in a far away location such as Ahvaz."
The judicial authorities should be ware that God is monitoring and controlling their actions and as a result they should finally put an end to their unjust actions. Not only should prisoners not be exiled to far away prisons, but the authorities should make sure that they are freed unconditionally. If they do so, I am sure that they will please Mahdi, the hidden Imam.

عتراض زهرا رهنورد به حبس در تبعید ضیا نبوی و دیگر زندانیان

چکیده : حبس در تبعید نه تنها مجازات زندانی بلکه مجازات خانواده هایی است که ناچارند مشقت طی کردن راه های دور را تحمل کنند ،مادران پیر ،زنان بچه دار ،و حتی خانواده های تهیدست . برای هر یک از آنها طی کردن این مسافتها برای ملاقاتی کوتاه و چند دقیقه ای سخت و غیر قابل تحمل است .به عنوان مثال پدر رنجدیده ضیا نبوی اخیرا در نامه ای به دیوانعالی کشور نوشته است که «خانواده من جزء طبقات پایین اقتصادی جامعه و از صنف دهقانی- کارگری ساده روستایی هستند و من تمام عمر با زحمت وتلاش کار کرده ام تا لقمه حلالی برای فرزندانم کسب کنم. ما حتی توان مالی کافی برای رفتن به ملاقات فرزندم در جای دور افتاده ای چون اهواز را هم نداریم.»
زهرا رهنورد، نویسنده و استاد دانشگاه در یادداشتی کوتاه نسبت به اجرای احکام حبس در تبعید برای زندانیان سیاسی از جمله ضیا نبوی، دانشجوی محروم از تحصیل که به تازگی به زندان کارون اهواز تبعید شده ،اظهار نگرانی کرده است.

تمام درخواست خانواده های زندانیان سیاسی آزادی بدون قید و شرط عزیزان شان بوده است. تولدها ،سوگواری ها و جشنهای مذهبی و ملی همچون مهرگان در آغاز سال تحصیلی جدید هر یک فرصتی است برای دعا و نیایش به درگاه الهی که “الهی فک کل اسیر” .
تمام دلخوشی و درخواست خانواده های زندانیان سیاسی آزادی بدون قید و شرط زندانیان بوده است که ناگهان خانواده ها با ابتکار جدیدی از سوی دست اندرکاران مربوطه روبرو شدند. مجازات جدیدی که به صورت زندان در تبعید است .طبق این رویه زندانیانی سر فراز و مقاوم چون شیوا نظر آهاری،ضیا نبوی ،احمد کریمی ،حامد روحی نژاد ، مجید دری و دیگران یا یه زندانهای دیگر تبعید یا به آن محکوم شده اند و هر لحظه انتظار تلخی خود و خانواده هایشان را آزار می دهد.
ضیا نبوی ،فعال دانشجویی بارها گفته است که هیچ وابستگی به گروههای خارج از ایران ندارد و تنها گناهش دفاع از حق تحصیلی است که در دولت نهم از او و دوستانش گرفته شده بود.هم بندان ضیا بسیار در باره سجایای اخلاقی وی بویژه روحیه مقاوم و صبر شگفت انگیزش نوشته و گفته اند .آنها می گویند ضیا آنقدر بی کینه است که حتی کمترین کینه و خشمی نسبت به قاضی ای که او را به پانزده سال حبس در تبعید محکوم کرده ، ندارد و این را به خوبی می توان در نامه ای که به تازگی برای قاضی پرونده اش نوشته ،حس کرد.جای چنین انسانی زندان ،آن هم زندان در تبعید نیست.

خوب است مسوولان قضایی خدا را ناظر و شاهد بگیرند و برای همیشه به این گونه ظلم ها پایان دهند . نه تنها زندانی در تبعید بلکه همه زندانیان را بدون قید و شرط آزاد کنند و مطمئن باشند دل امام زمان را شاد کرده اند
