Karroubi: If the people's freedom seeking Green movement is dead, then why do you continue the endless arrests?
In a meeting with the families of Hassan Asadi Zeidabadi and Ali Jamali, Karroubi expressed concern regarding the arbitrary actions by security forces and interrogators and while reiterating that the people's Green movement is alive added: "You [the ruling government] claim to have stifled and inhibited the Green movement. If that is the case, why then do you speak of the so called sedition on a daily basis? Why do you continue to speak behind people's back? Why are you so afraid to allow the slightest movement by the people? If the so called sedition is dead, then why do you continue to endlessly arrest innocent people"
According to reports by Tagheer, on the afternoon of Thursday October 28th, Mehdi Karroubi visited the families of Hassan Asadi Zeidabadi and Ali Jamali. In this meeting, while Karroubi provided comfort and solace to the families and encouraged them to be patient and continue to stand firm stated: "The actions by the judiciary and security forces have no legal justification. Unfortunately Judges have become irrelevant and it is the interrogators who now have the first and last word."
Our election process is not free and fair
While emphasizing the importance of holding free and fair elections, Mehdi Karroubi, the head of Etemad Meli Party said: "You see, they initially sought to hold formal elections but came to the conclusion that in order to stay in power and still put on a front that there is democratic rule, they needed to have an election process that suited them and ensured that certain individuals did better at the voting booths. This issue gradually continued, and during the 10th presidential elections when we witnessed the height of disrespect regarding the people's vote, our citizens finally responded strongly."
Karroubi reiterated: "They [the ruling government] did not expect such a strong response by our citizens and resorted to oppression. Naturally, as the people's dissatisfaction increases, because they never expected such a reaction, in order to save themselves and remain in power, they resort to increased pressure."
The Green movement is alive: the people's reform movement will continue
Karroubi, the Chairman of the 3rd and 6th Islamic Parliament while emphasizing that the Iranian people's Green movement is alive added: "You [ruling government] claim to have stifled and inhibited the Green movement. If that is the case, why then do you speak of the so called sedition on a daily basis? Why do you continue to speak behind people's back? Why are you so afraid to allow the slightest movement by the people? If the so called sedition is dead, then why do you continue to endlessly arrest innocent people?"
Karroubi stressed: "The legal, Green movement that is fighting for the rights of our people continues. No matter how many people you arrest, no matter how much you try to intimidate, despite your propaganda machine, you cannot stop this movement. The people's reform movement will continue until it has reached its goals."
Attacking the Members of Advar Tahkim Vahdat [student organization] is an attack on me and my supporters
While expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the resistance and resilience of the universities and members of the academia, Mehdi Karroubi added: "They [students and members of the academia] are the true engine of reform in our country and have endured the most pressure. Attacks on the members of Advar Tahkim Vahdat [student organization] is an attack on me and my supporters. They insist that we are in the minority, yet they continue to arrest and issue heavy sentences in an attempt to control the universities and make sure that no one dares protest."
It is the faceless that are the most disrespectful
While expressing sorrow regarding the disrespect shown towards our citizens, Karroubi stated:" During the revolution's first decade, religious biases, a consequence of the oppressive pressures of the Shah's regime, resulted in the harsh treatment by some individuals of those who did not adhere to Hijab rules. When the Imam found out about these acts, he immediately ordered that these individuals who had acted arbitrarily be arrested and punished. It is then that the Imam also issued article 8 addressing an individual's right to privacy in order to prevent arbitrary and biased actions of this nature. Today, we are witnessing the formation of entities designed to confront and harass our people. Unfortunately these faceless individuals without an identity who know nothing about the past and have no understanding of the history of our revolution are the causing disrespect and leading the attacks on our right to privacy. The attack on my residence by a number of thugs with a history of excessive drinking, disorderly conduct and prison records is just one example of this type of unacceptable, yet prevalent behavior.
We must stand firm and be patient
In conclusion while providing solace and comfort to the families of Hassan Asadi Zeidabadi and Ali Jamali, Karroubi said: " When I was incarcerated, my son Hossein was also only a few months old. Rest assured that we too have experienced such difficult conditions. Be patient and stand firm. Unfortunately their [ruling government] only form of interaction these days is based on pressure and brute force. All this pressure is useless and the situation cannot remain this way for ever. I am hopeful that we will soon witness a resolution to our problems and that all political prisoners will return to their families."
It is worth mentioning that at the onset of this meeting the families of Hossein Asadi Zeidabadi and Ali Jamali, while welcoming Karroubi, expressed their appreciation and thanked him for his perseverance, for defending and pursuing the rights of political prisoners and for standing with the people of Iran. While providing Karroubi with a brief update on their court cases, the wives of these two political prisoners explained how difficult their lives have become since their husbands were incarcerated. Hassan Asadi Zeidabadi's wife suffers from a kidney disease and Ali Jameli's wife is now a single mother of a five month old toddler.

چکیده : مدعی هستند که جنبش را مهار کرده اند. اگر اینچنین است، پس چرا هر روز از فتنه سخن می گویید. اگر فتنه مرده است! پس چرا پشت سر مرده صحبت می کنید؟! و از کوچکترین حرکت ها بیم دارید و نگرانید؟! اگر فتنه مرده است پس چرا بگیر و ببندهایتان تمامی ندارد؟! وضع بسیار بد و نگران کننده ای است. عملکرد نهادهای امنیتی و قضایی هیچ گونه توجیه قانونی ندارد. متاسفانه قضات کاره ای نیستند و این بازجویان امنیتی هستند که حرف اول و آخر را می زنند.

مهدی کروبی در دیدار با خانوادههای حسن اسدی زیدآبادی و علی جمالی، نسبت به یکهتازی نیروهای امنیتی و بازجویان ابراز نگرانی کرد و با تاکید بر اینکه جنبش مردمی ایران زنده است، افزود: آنها مدعی هستند که جنبش را مهار کرده اند. اگر اینچنین است، پس چرا هر روز از فتنه سخن می گویید. اگر فتنه مرده است! پس چرا پشت سر مرده صحبت می کنید؟! و از کوچکترین حرکت ها بیم دارید و نگرانید؟! اگر فتنه مرده است پس چرا بگیر و ببندهایتان تمامی ندارد؟!
به گزارش تغییر، بعد از ظهر روز پنج شنبه ششم آبان ماه، مهدی کروبی به دیدار خانواده های حسن اسدی زیدآبادی و علی جمالی رفت. در این دیدار صمیمی کروبی ضمن دلجویی از خانواده های ایشان، آنها را به ایستادگی و صبوری بیشتری فرا خواند و افزود: وضع بسیار بد و نگران کننده ای است. عملکرد نهادهای امنیتی و قضایی هیچ گونه توجیه قانونی ندارد. متاسفانه قضات کاره ای نیستند و این بازجویان امنیتی هستند که حرف اول و آخر را می زنند.
انتخابات آزادانه نیست
دبیرکل حزب اعتماد ملی ضمن تاکید بر اینکه انتخابات باید عادلانه و آزادانه برگزار شود، گفت: ببینید، اینها رفتند به دنبال اینکه انتخابات را صوری برگزار کنند، یعنی به این نتیجه رسیدند که برای حفظ قدرت و یکدست کردن حاکمیت با حفظ ظواهر دموکراتیک، انتخابات را آنگونه که خود می پسندند، برگزار کنند و در این فرایند، افراد خاصی از صندوق ها بیرون بیایند. این مساله به تدریج ادامه پیدا کرد تا اینکه در انتخابات دهم ریاست جمهوری که اوج بی احترامی به آرای مردم صورت گرفت، مردم واکنش جدی نشان دادند.
وی خاطرنشان کرد: این واکنش برای آنها اصلا قابل انتظار نبود، فلذا دست به سرکوب مردم زدند. طبیعی است همانطور که عمق نارضایتی مردم تشدید شده، آنها نیز که انتظار چنین واکنشی را از مردم نداشتند، برای حفظ موقعیت خود، فشارها را بیشتر می کنند.
جنبش زنده است و حرکت اصلاحی مردم ادامه خواهد داشت
رئیس مجالس سوم و ششم شورای اسلامی در ادامه با تاکید بر اینکه جنبش مردمی ایران زنده است، افزود: آنها مدعی هستند که جنبش را مهار کرده اند. اگر اینچنین است، پس چرا هر روز از فتنه سخن می گویید؟ اگر فتنه مرده است! پس چرا پشت سر مرده صحبت می کنید؟! و از کوچکترین حرکت ها بیم دارید و نگرانید؟! اگر فتنه مرده است، پس چرا بگیر و ببندهایتان تمامی ندارد؟!
وی تاکید کرد: حرکت قانونی و حق طلبانه مردم ادامه دارد، شماها هم با این بگیر و ببندها و انواع و اقسام تبلیغات علیه حرکت اصلاحی مردم، نمی توانید جلوی این حرکت را بگیرید و حرکت اصلاحی مردم تا رسیدن به نتیجه ادامه خواهد داشت.
برخورد با اعضای وحدت و سازمان ادوار، برخورد با بنده و جریان حامی بنده است
مهدی کروبی با تقدیر و قدردانی از ایستادگی جامعه ی دانشگاهی و اقشار روشنفکری ایران، افزود: بیشترین فشارها بر این اقشار است، چرا که آنها به واقع موتورهای حرکت اصلاحی در کشور هستند. برخورد با اعضای دفتر تحکیم وحدت و سازمان ادوار تحکیم در وهله اول برخورد با من و جریان حامی بنده است.
دبیرکل حزب اعتماد ملی اضافه کرد: از سویی می خواهند القا کنند که شماها در اقلیت هستید و پایگاهی در جامعه ندارید، و از سوی دیگر نیز با دستگیری و برخورد و صدور احکام سنگین، دانشگاه ها را تحت کنترل خود در بیاورند تا مبادا حرکتی معترضانه به وجود بیاید.
بی حرمتی از سوی بی هویت ها شکل می گیرد
صاحب امتیاز روزنامه توقیف شده اعتماد ملی ضمن ابراز ناراحتی از بی حرمتی های انجام شده به مردم، گفت: در دهه ی اول انقلاب، تعصبات مذهبی که ناشی از وجود فشارهای رژیم ستم شاهی بود، موجب می شد که برخی خودسرانه برخوردهای سنگینی با بی حجابی می کردند. امام به محض مطلع شدن از این جریان، فوری دستور داد تا این افراد بازداشت و مجازات شوند و فرمان ۸ ماده ای امام در حفظ حریم خصوصی مردم صادر شد تا جلوی حرکتهای خودسرانه و متعصبانه گرفته شود.
اما به اعتقاد کروبی، متاسفانه امروز شاهدیم که تشکیلاتی برای برخورد با مردم شکل گرفته است. وی در این باره گفت: متاسفانه افرادی که از گذشته خبر ندارند و به سوابق انقلاب ناآگاهند و از خود هیچ گونه هویتی ندارند، سردمداران بی حرمتی به حریم خصوصی مردم شده اند. تعدادی از اراذل و اوباش که سابقه ی مشروب خوری و عربده کشی و زندانی شدن در همین رابطه را در کارنامه خود داشتند، در یورش به منزل شخصی بنده نقش اصلی را ایفا کردند، و از این قسم برخوردها بسیار است که همه وصف آنها را شنیده ایم.
ایستادگی کنید و صبور باشید
مهدی کروبی در پایان ضمن دلجویی از خانواده های حسن اسدی زیدآبادی و علی جمالی، گفت: زمانی که من به زندان افتادم، حسین ما هم چند ماه بیشتر نداشت. بدانید که ما هم چنین شرایط سختی را پشت سر گذاشته ایم. ایستادگی کنید و صبور باشید. متاسفانه فعلا بنا را بر فشار و زور گذاشته اند، اما فشارها نتیجه نخواهد داشت و قطعا وضع به این صورت باقی نخواهد ماند. امیدوارم به زودی شاهد حل مشکلات و بازگشت زندانیان سیاسی به کانون خانواده هایشان باشیم.
گفتنی است در ابتدای این دیدار، خانواده های حسن اسدی زیدآبادی و علی جمالی ضمن خوش آمدگویی به مهدی کروبی، از ایستادگی و مقاومت وی در کنار مردم و در جهت دفاع و پیگیری حقوق زندانیان تقدیر و تشکر کردند.
آنها همچنین گزارشی کوتاه در مورد وضعیت پرونده این دو زندانی سیاسی ارائه دادند و شرایط خانوادگی خود را به دلیل زندانی شدن همسران خود، نامناسب توصیف کردند.
گفتنی است همسر حسن اسدی زیدآبادی به دلیل بیماری کلیوی در شرایط نامناسبی به سر می برد و همسر علی جمالی نیز به دلیل داشتن فرزند پنج ماهه در شرایط مناسبی قرار ندارد.
