Nasrin Soutoudeh has dedicated her life to helping others. Today, as she sits in jail on her 13th day of hunger strike, we want her to know that she is supported by thousands of people who appreciate her courage and tenacity. Most importantly, she knows that she is surrounded by the love of her family, a family that is counting the days for her release.
Nasrin Sotoudeh contacted her family yesterday for a brief moment and informed them that she was on a hunger strike. Yesterday happened to be Nasrin Sotoudeh's wedding anniversary and International Children's Day. Nasrin Sotoudeh, mother of two young children spent this day in solitary confinement and on hunger strike, knowing that with the passing of each day, her children become more impatient to see their mother.
Nasrin Sotoudeh, lawyer and human rights activist who has been incarcerated for more than one month, contacted her husband by phone yesterday. She informed her husband that she had begun a hunger strike on the day of her wedding anniversary and International Children's Day. According to reports by Kaleme, on the occasion of their wedding anniversary, Reza Khandan, Sotoudeh's husband, wrote her the following short letter:
The Scent of the Tuberosa Flower
Every year on October 7th, our house is filled with the scent of the Tuberosa flower
On this day, the Tuberosa has been amongst us for many years
This year on our anniversary, for the first time, we are no longer together
Even though we are apart, more than ever, our thoughts are together
Our thoughts are with our children, as tomorrow belongs to them
They too are spending International Children's Day without their mother for the first time
My dearest, happy anniversary.....
My children, I wish you a joyful Children's Day
Let us look forward to and hope for happier days when we can once again be together....

چکیده : دیروز که نسرین ستوده با همسرش تماس گرفت و خبر اعتصاب غذای خود را تایید کرد ،سالروز ازدواجش و همین طور روزجهانی کودک نیز بود .در چنین روزی او همچنان درسلول انفرادی و اعتصاب غذا به سر می برد و فرزندان خردسالش هر روز بیشتر بی تاب دیدن مادر می شوند.
نسرین ستوده ، وکیل دادگستری که از یکماه پیش در بازداشت به سر می برد، دیروز که با همسرش تماس گرفت و خبر اعتصاب غذای خود را تایید کرد ،سالروز ازدواجش و همین طور روزجهانی کودک نیز بود .در چنین روزی او همچنان درسلول انفرادی و اعتصاب غذا به سر می برد و فرزندان خردسالش هر روز بیشتر بی تاب دیدن مادر می شوند.

بوی عطر مریم
هرسال پانزدهم مهر بوی عطر مریم در خانه‌مان می‌پیچد
در چنین روزی گل مریم سال‌هاست که با ماست.
امسال اولین باری است که در سالگرد ازدواجمان کنار هم نیستیم.
ولی بیش از همیشه به یاد هم هستیم.
و بیش از همیشه به یاد کودکان‌مان که فردا روز آن‌هاست.
آنها نیز اولین بار است روز کودک را بدون حضور مادرشان سپری می‌کنند.
عزیزم روزت مبارک – بچه‌ها روزتان مبارک
به امید روزهای شاد باهم بودن
