Monday December 6th, 2010 - According to reports by Kaleme, Nasrin Sotoudeh informed her family in a telephone conversation yesterday that she will once again begin a dry hunger strike (no food no water) starting today in protest against her continued detention and the unjust incarceration of other innocent prisoners.
According to Reza Khandan Sotoudeh's husband, Sotoudeh decided to go on a dry hunger strike for the following reasons:
- The continuation of her 95 day temporary detention with out bail despite the fact that her court hearing took place 9 days ago and she has two young children.
- False, unkept promises by judiciary and security officials to overturn her temporary detention.
- Biased positions and violations of the law by the presiding judge responsible for the court hearing in the presence of Sotoudeh's lawyers and other members of the Central Bar Association of Iran. Lack of impartiality by the presiding judge in finding Sotoudeh guilty before the completion of her trial.
- Disappearance of 12 legal letters containing requests by Sotoudeh from her case file.
- Threats to her lawyers during the court hearings.
- Announcement by the court that Sotoudeh would be charged with heavier crimes for hiring lawyers that are not acceptable and trusted by the court.
- Incarceration of Sotoudeh in Evin's ward 209 for a period of 95 days with the intent to increase pressure through exposure to unbearable conditions.
- Preventing Sotoudeh's two young children who have no access to cabin visitations from visiting with their mother. One exception was made during these 95 days but was harmful to the children due to altercations by prison officials with family members.
- A variety of restrictions on Sotoudeh including refusal to provide her pen and paper.
- Lack of timely announcement of the passing of Sotoudeh's father and refusal to allow her temporary leave from prison in order to attend her father's funeral; a legal right of every prisoner under Islamic law.
Nasrin Sotoudeh charged amongst other things with acting against the national security of the country was arrested on December 6th, 2010 and has been on a hunger strike several times since her arrest protesting the manner in which her case file has been handled.
نسرین ستوده دوباره اعتصاب غذای خشک کرد

چکیده : ادامه بازداشت موقت به مدت 95 روز با وجود داشتن دو فرزند خردسال، در حالی که هیچ موردی برای جلوگیری از فک قرار بازداشت وجود ندارد و جلسه محاکمه 9 روز پیش تمام شده است، از مهم ترین دلایل اعتصاب غذای مجدد نسرین ستوده است.
نسرین ستوده، دیروز در تماس تلفنی با خانواده ش اعلام کرد که در اعتراض به ادامه بازداشت خود و دیگر زندانیان که با احکام ناعادلانه در زندان به سر می‌برند، دوباره از امروز(سه شنبه، شانزدهم آذرماه) دست به اعتصاب غذای خشک می زند و تا تحقق خواسته هایش دست از اعتصاب برنخواهد داشت.
به گزارش کلمه، براساس گفته های رضاخندان( همسرستوده) مهم ترین دلایل اعتصاب غذای مجدد ستوده به این شرح است:
- ادامه بازداشت موقت به مدت ۹۵ روز با وجود داشتن دو فرزند خردسال. در حالی که هیچ موردی برای جلوگیری از فک قرار بازداشت وجود ندارد و جلسه محاکمه ۹ روز پیش تمام شده است.
- وعده‌های چندین مسئول امنیتی و قضایی مبنی بر تبدیل قرار بازداشت و آزادی و عدم اجرای آنها.
- برگزاری جلسه دادگاه با تخلفات و موضع‌گیری‌های جانبدارانه قاضی رسیدگی کننده در حضور وکلا و روسای کانون وکلا و اتحادیه سراسر کانون‌های وکلا و دیگر همکاران و خارج شدن ایشان از دایره بی‌طرفی و در واقع اعلام عملی مجرم بودن نسرین ستوده قبل از اتمام رسیدگی و ختم جلسه دادگاه.
- ناپدید شدن ۱۲ فقره نامه و لایحه ارائه شده توسط ستوده که در پرونده موجود نیست.
- تهدید وکلا در جلسه دادگاه.
- اعلام سنگین‌تر شدن جرم استوده به دلیل انتخاب وکلایی که به زعم ایشان مورد قبول یا اعتماد دادگاه نیستند.
- نگهداری و اعمال فشار از طریق شرایط طاقت فرسای انفرادی ۲۰۹ اطلاعات از زمان بازداشت تاکنون به مدت ۹۵ روز .
- جلوگیری از ملاقات حضوری فرزندان خردسال که امکان ملاقات کابینی را ندارند. (به غیر از یک مورد در طول ۹۵ روز که آن هم به دلیل درگیری مامورین با خانواده موجب آزار بیشتر آنها شد.)
- اعمال محدودیت‌های مختلف از جمله عدم تحویل قلم و کاغذ.
- عدم اعلام به موقع فوت پدرنسرین ستوده به وی و جلوگیری از اعطای مرخصی به وی برای حضور در مراسم خاکسپاری.حق قانونی هر زندانی است که بتواند در این گونه موارد از مرخصی استفاده کند.
ستوده که از جمله به اتهام اقدام علیه امنیت ملی از روز ۱۳ شهریور بازداشت شده، تا کنون چندین بار در اعتراض به وضعیت رسیدگی به پرونده اش دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است
