Isa Saharkhiz Undergoes Surgery at Rajai Shahr Prison's Infirmary

Sunday December 5th, 2010 - According to reports from Jaras, Isa Saharkhiz was transferred to the infirmary at Rajai Shahr prison yesterday.  Since he was not allowed to leave Rajai Shahr prison for treatment, a team of physicians was sent to the infirmary and operated on him.

It is worth mentioning that Saharkhiz a member of the Central Council for the Defense of Freedom of Press in Iran, who has endured very difficult conditions for over a year in both Evin and Rajai Shahr prison was experiencing extreme pain over the past few days and had lost all movement in his right leg.  According to Human Rights reporters, despite Saharkhiz's dire physical condition he has not be allowed temporary leave of absence from prison for medical treatment.

Isa Saharkhiz was arrested and transferred to Evin prison after being summoned by the prosecutor's office on the 3rd of July 2009. He was later exiled to Rajai Shahr prison in the city of Karaj.  Saharkhiz's physical condition has been deteriorating for some time now and he is in dire condition as a result of his various ailments that have gone untreated in prison. Despite numerous attempts Saharkhiz's lawyer has not succeeded in obtaining a medical leave of absence for him to date.

عمل جراحی عیسی سحرخیز در بهداری زندان رجایی شهر

جرس: عیسی سحر خیز بدنبال خونریزی داخلی روز گذشته  در بهداری زندان رجایی شهر تحت عمل جراحی قرار گرفت و شرایط جسمی وی مساعد گزارش شده است.

به گزارش منابع خبری جرس، دیروز عیسی سحر خیز به بهداری  زندان رجایی شهر منتقل شد و از آنجا که اجازه خروج از زندان برای وی صادر نشد، تیم پزشکی از خارج از زندان به بهداری رجایی شهر آمد و او را تحت عمل جراحی قرار داد.

گفتنی است این عضو زندانیِ شورای مرکزی انجمن دفاع از آزادی مطبوعات که بالغ بر یکسال است که در زندانهای اوین و گوهردشت و در شرایط بسیار سخن نگهداری می شود، طی روزهای اخیر از درد شدید و از کارافتادگی نسبی پای راست در رنج بوده، و بنا به گزارش منابع خبری حقوق بشری، همچنان بدون هیچ مرخصی در زندان رجایی‌شهر کرج در حبس است.

سحرخیز پس از اعلام دادستانی مبنی بر معرفی خود، در دوزادهم تیرماه دستگیر شد و به زندان اوین انتقال یافت. پس از مدتی او را به زندان رجایی شهر کرج، تبعید کردند. سلامت وی مدتی است که به دلیل شرایط جسمی نامناسب و بیماری در خطر است.


تلاش وکیل این زندانی برای مرخصی استعلاجی بارها با شکست رو به رو شده است.
