Tuesday November 9th, 2010 - In response to the recent transfer of all female political prisoners in Evin to the Methadone quarantine ward reserved for addicts, Zahra Rahnvard writer, university professor and Mir Hossein Mousavi's wife stated: "Transferring female political prisoners to the Methadone quarantine ward for addicts is a waste of time, as it will not only NOT cure their addiction to freedom and democracy, but will bring them closer to God. You who claim to be the defenders of Islam, should follow the example of the prophet Mohammad when treating women and release all imprisoned women, unconditionally.
As per reports by Kalame, a few days ago all female political prisoners at Evin prison were transferred to the Methadone quarantine ward reserved for addicts. These prisoners have been denied access to fresh air and all telephone contact. Zahra Rahnavard's short statement regarding this recent news is as follows:
The mere understanding of and familiarity with the concept of freedom and democracy can be so sweet, glorious and intoxicating that is creates an addiction. Experiencing the taste and flavors of freedom and democracy up close, however, is one of the most glorious and noble forms of human addiction possible. Men and women who turn to this material, are not high, they do not yawn, they do not stand in prayer, they do not shake, tremor or fall, but instead fill their brain with oxygen and phosphorus, making them acutely aware and enabling them to resolve any problem no matter how challenging it may be. They are fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead and their addiction to freedom and democracy enables them to face any challenge such as oppression, fraud, discrimination, pepper spray, beatings by batons, the mass closure of newspapers, etc.
Those of us who believe in human rights, the men and women who are addicted to and love freedom and democracy will never abandon this addiction even if incarcerated in a Methadone ward; for abandoning our addiction to freedom and democracy is tantamount to giving into a disease; any form of compromise when it comes to our ideals and aspirations would result in the worst form of disease for our nation.
The Methadone Quarantine section of the female ward at Evin symbolizes the demon that Rustam brought to its knees, as Rustam is the eternal hero of our nation. He is always alive, if not in body, Rustam continues to live in the democratic spirit of every freedom fighting Iranian.
To all the prison guards and officials of our nation I say, there is still time for those who give the orders and those who perpetrator the crimes; there is still time for you to change your ways....
Transferring female political prisoners to the Methadone quarantine ward for addicts is a waste of time, as it will not only NOT cure their addiction to freedom and democracy, but will bring them closer to God. رهنورد: زنان سیاسی را در بند متادون نگه ندارید،اعتیادشان را به آزادی و دمکراسی ترک نمی کنند

چکیده : بیهوده زندانیان سیاسی زن را در بند متادون نگه ندارید! آنها اعتیادشان را به آزادی و دمکراسی ترک نمی کنند و از خود به خدا می رسند، اما شما که مدعی العموم اسلام هستید، بیایید و از سیره پیامیر (ص )نسبت به زنان پیروی کنید.همه زنان را در هر کجا که اسیر و دربند هستند بی قید و شرط آزاد کنید.
کلمه :بعد از انتقال زندانیان سیاسی زن زندان اوین به قرنطینه بند متادون، زهرا رهنورد نویسنده و استاد دانشگاه به همین مناسبت مطلبی نوشته و هدف آمران و زندانبانان را از این کار ” ترک اعتیاد این زنان به دمکراسی و آزادی” تعبیر و در ادامه تاکید کرده است که این زنان اعتیادشان را به آزادی و دمکراسی ترک نمی کنند.
به گزارش کلمه، چند روز پیش همه زندانیان سیاسی زن در اوین به بند قرنطینه متادون که مخصوص ترک اعتیاد است، منتقل شده اند ، اجازه هواخوری ندارند و همه تماسهای تلفنی شان نیز قطع شده است.
یادداشت کوتاه زهرار رهنورد را دراین باره می خوانید :
آزادی و دمکراسی آن چنان دلچسب و شیرین و باشکوه است که آشنایی و شناخت آن هم اعتیاد آور است چه برسد به تجربه کردن و چشیدن مزه آن از نزدیک و این اعتیاد یکی از با شکوه ترین و متعالی ترین اعتیادهای بشری است .زنان و مردانی که به این ماده روی می آورند، خمار نمی شوند ،خمیازه نمی کشند ،دست و پای شان را رو به قبله دراز نمی کنند و به رعشه و عطسه نمی افتند و در عوض کربن مغزشان جای خود را به اکسیژن و فسفر می دهد و از شدت تیز هوشی همه مساله های سخت را حل می کنند .آنها خفقان ، سرکوب، تقلب، تبعیض، گاز فلفل ، باتوم و بستن فله ای روزنامه ها را می شناسند و راه حل همه این مشکلات را می دانند .
ما زنان و مردان حق طلب همه به آزادی و دمکراسی عشق و اعتیاد داریم و نمی توانیم در هیچ بند متادونی این اعتیاد را ترک کنیم زیرا ترک اعتیاد موجب مرض است و سازش و کوتاه آمدن از آرمانهای ملت بدترین مرض هاست .
قرنطینه متادون در بند زنان زندان اوین نماد همان دیوی است که به دست رستم از پای درمی آید و رستم قهرمان ابدی ملت ماست. او هنوز و همیشه زنده است اگر نه در پیکر رستم بلکه در پیکره هر آزاده ای
.
اما شما همه زندانبانان ملت ،از آمرین و عاملین هنوز فرصت دارید …
بیهوده زندانیان سیاسی زن را در بند متادون نگه ندارید! آنها اعتیادشان را به آزادی و دمکراسی ترک نمی کنند و از خود به خدا می رسند، اما شما که مدعی العموم اسلام هستید، بیایید و از سیره پیامیر (ص )نسبت به زنان پیروی کنید.همه زنان را در هر کجا که اسیر و دربند هستند بی قید و شرط آزاد کنید، چه در تبعیدها و انفرادی ها، چه در بند متادون و چه در تهران و شهرستانها. شما همین امروز می توانید وکیل آزاده نسرین ستوده ، مهدیه گلرو ، بهاره هدایت ، فاطمه رهنما ، نازنین خسروانی ،عاطفه نبوی و… را آزاد کنید.هیچگاه برای این کار دیر نیست .
