Sunday November 7th, 2010 - According to reports received by Kaleme, all female political prisoners at Evin prison were transferred to the female Methadone Quarantine Ward. While it had been previously reported that all telephone contact with female political prisoners had been banned, today, one of the ordinary prisoners at Evin reported that all female political prisoners were transferred to the Methadone Quarantine Ward on Wednesday night and that all contact with the outside world had been banned.
To date, prison officials have also refused to allow the female political prisoners to leave the quarantine area for fresh air or to attend cultural classes. It goes without saying that the lack of news regarding the well being of these prisoners and the fact that they were transferred to the female Methadone Quarantine Ward, reserved for prisoners who are addicts and use Methadone as treatment of narcotic withdrawal and dependence has left their families worried and distraught. In the past 5 days, the families have had no news what so ever regarding their loved ones.
According to reports from Evin, the female political prisoners had strongly protested the decision to ban all telephone contact with the outside world. Ordinary prisoners were also supporting them in this protest. One of the ordinary female prisoners was even transferred to solitary confinement for a period of 10 days for supporting the female political prisoners in their protest.
After the prisoners began protesting the banned telephone contacts, prison officials retaliated by transferring all female political prisoners to the quarantine section reserved for prisoners who are addicts. There has been no news of these prisoners since.
The increase in pressure on female political prisoners took place after a new management team took over the female ward at Evin last week. As a result of the new management team, Bahare Hedayat, female student activist was removed of her responsibility as head of the library at the female ward, and all telephone contact with this ward was banned.

چکیده : قطع تماسهای زنان زندانی و انتقال آنان به قرنطینه متادون که محل نگهداری مجرمین معتاد بوده و جهت ترک اعتیاد از آن استفاده می‌شود، نگرانی خانواده‌های زندانیان سیاسی زن را در پی داشته است. این خانواده‌ها در طی پنج روز گذشته در بی‌خبری مطلق از وضعیت عزیزان خود به سر می‌برند.
تمامی زندانیان سیاسی زن در زندان اوین به قرنطینه متادون بند نسوان منتقل شده اند.
براساس گزارش های رسیده به کلمه، در حالی که در روزهای گذشته، اخباری مبنی بر قطع ارتباطات تلفنی زنان زندانی سیاسی منتشر شده بود، امروز یکی از زندانیان عادی در تماسی از زندان، خبر داده که تمامی زنان اتاق سیاسی از چهارشنبه شب به قرنطینه متادون انتقال یافته‌اند و تمامی ارتباطات و تماسهای آنان با دنیای خارج قطع شده است.
مسئولان زندان تاکنون از خروج زنان سیاسی از قرنطینه جهت هواخوری و یا شرکت در کلاس‌های فرهنگی بند نسوان نیز خودداری کرده‌اند و از وضع سلامتی این زنان زندانی هیچ‌گونه اطلاعی در دست نیست.

گزارشها حاکی است، پس از قطع تماسهای تلفنی زندانیان سیاسی، زنان نسبت به این تصمیم به شدت اعتراض کرده‌اند. در این اعتراض ها حتی زندانیان عادی بند نیز با آنان همراه شدند که در پی آن، یکی از زندانیان عادی به مدت ۱۰ روز به سلول انفرادی انتقال یافته است.
پس از این اعتراض ها، مسئولان زندان، اتاق زندانیان سیاسی در بند زنان را خالی کرده و همه زندانیان سیاسی زن را به قرنطینه متادون منتقل کرده‌اند. از آن زمان تاکنون، هیچ گونه اطلاعی از شرایط زنان زندانی در دست نیست.
افزایش فشارها بر زنان زندانی پس از آن صورت می‌گیرد که هفته گذشته ریاست زندان اوین تغییر کرد. در پی این تغییرات، ابتدا ” بهاره هدایت” فعال دانشجویی زندانی، که مسئولیت کتابخانه بند زنان را بر عهده داشت، از این مسئولیت کنار گذاشته شد و سپس تماس های تلفنی زنان با خارج از زندان قطع شد
